Vita Sintetika

performance and installation, 2024

Vita Sintetika reconstructs the intimate space of a beauty salon, where a live perfomance unfolds throughout the exhibition. The work examines body modification culture shaped by media and technology, exposing its existential layers. Beyond appearance, the desire to alter the body reflects a rejection of biology, a deconstruction of genetic rules, and the pursuit of ever-shifting ideals. The salon, an everyday space, transforms into a site of spiritual metamorphosis, where skin becomes a metaphor for the soul. Yet, as bodies are shaped by economic forces, desire, and consumption, their ownership remains uncertain.
